Little Silver is a town in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Its population is approximately 6,125 people. Before its settlement by Europeans, it was inhabited by the Navesink Native Americans. Originally all farms and nurseries, it has all been replaced by homes and a suburban community. Its location on the Shrewsbury River makes it a popular place and approximately 8% of those homes rest on the Shrewsbury River. Another third of them are on streams that connect to it. It borders Fair Haven, Monmouth Beach, Oceanport, Red Bank, Rumson and Shrewsbury.
